The Indian Foreign Policy Project (IFPP) is an independent, youth-led organisation committed to reimagining global affairs through informed, critical, and distinctly South Asian perspectives. We aim to cultivate active citizenship, intellectual curiosity, and rigorous critical thinking among students across India, encouraging them to challenge prevailing narratives and contribute meaningfully to international discourse.
Founded in February 2024, IFPP brings together high school and university students to form a cross-campus community of emerging thinkers and future leaders in foreign policy. At its core, IFPP seeks to introduce grounded South Asian viewpoints into global conversations, addressing the disproportionate dominance of Western frameworks in international relations and diplomacy.
Our mission is advanced through:
Hosting forums for thoughtful dialogue and debate, including panel discussions, speaker sessions, and roundtables with youth leaders, diplomats, and scholars;
Engaging high schools, youth collectives, and civil society organisations to build grassroots foreign policy awareness across South Asia;
Encouraging independent research and fresh policy thinking through publications, analytical commentaries, and student-led reports;
Publishing accessible and regionally grounded insights on international events and their implications for South Asia;
Fostering mentorship and professional growth by connecting young individuals with a network of academics, practitioners, and foreign policy experts.
IFPP is dedicated to shaping a generation of globally minded, critically engaged young Indians and ensuring that South Asian voices are heard, respected, and represented in shaping the future of world affairs.
